Summary (Goodreads.com)
In the blink of an eye everything changes. Seventeen-year-old Mia has no memory of the accident; she can only recall what happened afterwards, watching her own damaged body being taken from the wreck. Little by little she struggles to put together the pieces - to figure out what she has lost, what she has left, and the very difficult choice she must make. Heart-wrenchingly beautiful, Mia's story will stay with you for a long, long time.

My thoughts:
There are a few times that I can actually relate to a book personally. When I read fiction books, I do not have supernatural powers, wings, or any other fictional qualities that I can relate to. Even the titles I read that are contemporary don't always have events that I can relate to.

But just like Mia, I have a little brother, a mom who is my best friend, a funny dad, a family who is always there for me. So I could not help but put myself in every single horrible event that Mia had to go through.

Worse still, Gayle Forman let us see the amazing family Mia had before the accident, and while everything was going on, flashes of her previous life did not seem to leave her thoughts. Each story carefully told, and every single on of them brought be to tears.

Another thing about this book is that nothing was sugarcoated. From the gory accident scene to the sad ending, Gayle Forman's raw and beautiful writing shaped a contemporary masterpiece. The character development was amazing, I felt for every single character in the book, dead or alive. I could not think of a single character in the book that I disliked. Her best friend was not without flaws, just like real life friends are, but she was everything a best friend should be. Her relationship with her boyfriend was not perfect, but it is the kind of relationship you will love to have.

If I Stay is a truly beautiful story, so real and full of sorrow you will probably be reading it through blurry tear-filled eyes.

The only thing that left me kind of puzzled was the USA Today's quote, "Will appeal to fans of Stephanie Meyer's TWILIGHT." Yes, I was a fan of Twilight once upon a time, but If I Stay was nothing like Twilight. They were both great in their own way, but they are by no means similar. Where did they get that from?

In my opinion if you liked Lauren Oliver's Before I Fall, then you will love If I Stay! If you had read If I Stay, and loved it and want more, the same goes to you, read Before I Fall.

We have a cover!

from Goodreads.com
Juliette hasn't touched anyone in exactly 264 days. The last time she did, it was an accident, but The Reestablishment locked her up for murder. No one knows why Juliette's touch is fatal. As long as she doesn't hurt anyone else, no one really cares. The world is too busy crumbling to pieces to pay attention to a 17-year-old-girl. Diseases are destroying the population, food is hard to find, birds don't fly anymore, and the clouds are the wrong color.
The Reestablishment said their way was the only way to fix things, so they threw Juliette in a cell. Now so many people are dead that the survivors are whispering war- and The Reestablishment has changed its mind. Maybe Juliette is more than a tortured soul stuffed into a poisonous body. Maybe she's exactly what they need right now.
Juliette has to make a choice: Be a weapon. Or be a warrior.
In this electrifying debut, Tahereh Mafi presents a world as riveting asThe Hunger Games and a superhero story as thrilling as The X-Men. Full of pulse-pounding romance, intoxicating villainy, and high-stakes choices, Shatter Me is a fresh and original dystopian novel—with a paranormal twist—that will leave readers anxiously awaiting its sequel.

I haven't read the book yet, unfortunately, so I cannot say if it matches the story plot or not. I like the headline on the top "MY TOUCH IS LETHAL.MY TOUCH IS POWER". Because from what I have read in the summary that is what this will mostly be about. The dress is beautiful and the model is pretty and all, but I think its too glamorized. By what I read in the summary, they are not living in a very glamour world.

What I am sure about, is that this will be a mind blowing dystopian debut, and I cannot wait to read it!

Cover Reveals!

I could not wait to show you guys these amazing book covers that I found! So I decided to show you right now, enjoy!

From Goodreads.com:

Dying sucks--and high school senior Ember McWilliams knows firsthand. After a fatal car accident, her gifted little sister brought her back. Now anything Ember touches dies. And that, well, really blows.

Ember operates on a no-touch policy with all living things--including boys. When Hayden Cromwell shows up, quoting Oscar Wilde and claiming her curse is a gift, she thinks he’s a crazed cutie. But when he tells her he can help control it, she’s more than interested. There’s just one catch: Ember has to trust Hayden's adopted father, a man she's sure has sinister reasons for collecting children whose abilities even weird her out. However, she’s willing to do anything to hold her sister's hand again. And hell, she'd also like to be able to kiss Hayden. Who wouldn't?

But when Ember learns the accident that turned her into a freak may not've been an accident at all, she’s not sure who to trust. Someone wanted her dead, and the closer she gets to the truth, the closer she is to losing not only her heart, but her life. For real this time.
